Mat Pro started in 2018 when owner Luis Herrera bought a used hot-water extractor and started cleaning mats for three small dojos in north Austin. The equipment is larger now but the process has not changed: we arrive, pull the mats in sections, clean to the seam and leave the floor dry before the next class.
Most of our accounts are monthly. We know which dojos run gi classes versus no-gi, which mats take the most impact and where the tape residue builds fastest. We keep records so the same sections get extra dwell time every cycle.
